BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Halloween may end this weekend, but Terrific New Theatre is keeping the chills going into November with “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.”
The musical runs Nov. 5–22, 2026.
Dan Seigel, who plays Sweeney Todd, and director Michael Flowers joined WBRC’s Russell Jones at the theatre for a preview of the production, with a barber chair and prop razors setting the scene.

The story follows a London barber who returns after being wrongly imprisoned and seeks revenge. He teams up with Mrs. Lovett, a struggling pie-shop owner, whose business takes a gruesome turn.
With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler, the musical combines suspense, dark humor and a tale of revenge.
