TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) - Bagels and Shmears are their bread and butter, but they serve so much more. Einstein Bros Bagels has opened its fifth location in the Birmingham and Shelby County area. The newest location is located at 1430 Gadsden Highway in Trussville.
One of the things the customers love about Einstein Bros Bagels is the freshness. They make their bagels fresh each day.
“We take pride in our brand. Every bagel is made with love and everything is freshly made every morning,” says District Manager, Shermanta Doun.
“We serve bagels—gourmet bagels,” shares Trussville General Manager Jamie Doss. “Who doesn’t like a pull-apart bagel with a smear that you can just dip it in? It’s easier for on-the-go people! We have seven different smear flavors, and they’re whipped, so they’re lighter. They just taste different and spread onto a bagel easier.”
Don’t let the “breakfast” label fool you—Einstein Bros Bagels has serious game when it comes to lunchtime. They have gourmet sandwiches.

“All of our gourmet sandwiches, you can order them for lunch,” Doun explains. "
Einstein Bros Bagels also has a few new beverages added to their menu.
“We have a new crème brûlée iced coffee flavor,” Doss says. “We also have our signature dark chocolate, vanilla, and caramel.”
This Trussville opening is part of a massive nationwide growth plan to bring fresh bagels to even more neighborhoods.
“This is one of the new openings that’s a part of a much bigger initiative,” Doun reveals. “We have made a commitment to open 300 bakeries by the year 2030, which will give us 1,000 locations nationwide.”
