VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (WBRC) - The annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk returns to Birmingham this October, bringing together families, advocates, and neighbors to celebrate, inspire and uplift individuals with Down syndrome.

October is nationally recognized as Down Syndrome Awareness Month, but Down Syndrome Alabama believes awareness is just the beginning. The annual STEP UP for DOWN SYNDROME Walk focuses on creating tangible opportunity, acceptance, and meaningful inclusion across Alabama.
Funds raised during the event directly support Down Syndrome Alabama’s year-round programs, services, and advocacy efforts.
