BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Barbecue lovers will soon have another spot in the Magic City to satisfy their appetite as business is returning to Valley Post.
Saw’s BBQ is planning to open a new location at the entertainment development, the restaurant announced Tuesday.
“We’re excited to bring SAW’s BBQ to Valley Post and become part of this community,” said Jennifer Wilson, who runs Saw’s Homewood, Saw’s Juke Joint, Saw’s Soul Kitchen and now Valley Post. “This area has experienced, and will continue to experience, incredible growth, and we look forward to serving longtime SAW’s fans while introducing new guests to the food and hospitality that have been at the heart of our restaurants since day one.”
Saw’s BBQ has been serving Carolina-style barbecue since it was founded in Homewood by Mike Wilson. They’re serving up pulled pork, smoked chicken, loaded baked potatoes, award-winning wings and more.

After a number of restaurants closed due to financial trouble with Pihakis Restaurant Group, Saw’s BBQ is one of the first businesses to announce they are taking over the vacated spaces.

Waldo’s Chicken and Beer announced recently they have signed a lease to take over the former home of the Little Donkey this fall.
“The new restaurant will join the next chapter of the Valley Post development, adding another locally owned favorite to the destination’s growing lineup of restaurants and entertainment offerings,” Saw’s BBQ said in a release Tuesday.
An official opening date is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
