HELENA, Ala. (WBRC) - Helena’s Buck Creek Festival is back at Helena Amphitheater Park on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9–10, bringing two days of live music, a fan-favorite duck race, local vendors and kid-friendly activities.
From classic hits to hometown talent, the festival lineup features multiple bands across both nights, plus shopping, food and a dedicated children’s area so families can make a full day of it.
Friday, Oct. 9
Festivities begin Friday at 6 p.m. with live performances:
- 6 p.m. — Summer of ’77
- Followed by — OPOV Band
- Ends — 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 10

Saturday’s schedule starts bright and early with music throughout the day, capped by a high-energy finale.
- 10 a.m. — Hooley
- 11:45 a.m. — Helena High School Jazz Band
- 1:15 p.m. — Oxmoor
- 3 p.m. — Duck race
- 3:15 p.m. — Erin Black
- 4 p.m. — More Cowbell
- 6 p.m. — M-80’s
- Ends — 8 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Families can take advantage of a children’s area designed as a safe place for kids to play. Wristbands are $10 and include all-day access.
Festivalgoers can browse vendor booths featuring handmade items, retail products and a wide variety of food options from vendors across the Southeast.
