BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Flying from Birmingham is now a Breeze! At least to two stops.
Breeze Airways launched a new service in Birmingham with two non-stop flights, one to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the other to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
Breeze Airways shared the news in February. Breeze Airways is known for its flexible networking connecting travelers to understand cities across the US while making air travel more affordable.
“We are thrilled to welcome Breeze Airways to Birmingham,” said Ashby Pate, board chair of the Birmingham Airport Authority. “The addition of Breeze with its low fares to new markets is a welcome choice for travelers who appreciate nonstop flights and the opportunity to save some money when booking their trips.”
Guests are able to enjoy Breeze’s signature travel experience, including free family seating, fast onboard WiFi, preferred seating options and no change or cancellation fees.

“We are launching in Birmingham with two destinations that we know the community will love,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “With our high-value, low-cost model, these two destinations will allow travelers in Birmingham to more easily and affordably travel to Raleigh and Fort Lauderdale.”
The flight to Fort Lauderdale is nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting from $59 one way. The flights to Raleigh-Durham are nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting from $49 one way.
“We are thankful that Breeze has so much confidence in this market,” Pate said. “If travelers respond well to the new service, there’s a good chance we’ll see additional Breeze flights in the future.”
