BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is saying happy 50th to Legacy Arena with a free festival, featuring family activities, backstage tours, a commemorative mural unveiling, interactive art experiences and a free concert by The Black Jacket Symphony.
The celebration is on Saturday, July 11 at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

Schedule
- Festival: 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Mural reveal: 3:13 p.m. at the Legacy Arena – Entry A
- Concert: 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

There will be several different things happening during the celebration. Full event highlights include:
- Free admission

- Food trucks
- Backstage tours
- Face painting
- Balloon and caricature artists
- Arcada-style sports games and bouncy house
- Concert with The Black Jacket Symphony
- Exclusive anniversary swag that guests can screen print with Yellowhammer Creative
- New art installations, including the unveiling of a commemorative mural by an Alabama artist
