BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - After years of development and numerous delays, the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 will finally be up for pre-order in just days.
In a 30 second teaser released Friday on the company’s YouTube channel, Rockstar Games revealed the game’s official cover art while announcing GTA 6 will be available for pre-order on June 25.
The follow-up the massively successful GTA 5 was first announced in 2022. In May of last year, Rockstar announced the game would be delayed to May 26, 2026. By Nov. 2025, the studio announced yet another delay, pushing the game’s release back to Nov. 19, 2026.
What remains to be seen is what Grant Theft Auto 6 will cost gamers when pre-orders launch Thursday. Some estimates put the game as high as $100 to cover the estimated $1-1.5 billion production cost.
