‘Red, White & Boom’: Hueytown to celebrate America’s 250th birthday at 2026 CityFest

Hannah McFarland will headline the free community concert

HUEYTOWN, Ala. (WBRC) - Hueytown’s annual CityFest is returning with some patriotic flare this year.

Not only will the community festival features music by Hannah McFarland, Even Odds, Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monsters and others, they night will be capped off with a firework show celebrate the 250th anniversary.

“America’s 250th anniversary is a historic milestone, and we are proud to bring our community together to celebrate our nation’s freedom.” said Mayor Steve Ware. “We invite everyone to join us for a day of fellowship, entertainment, and fireworks.”

Red, White & Boom/CityFest will take place Saturday, June 27 at Hueytown City Park beginning at 3 p.m.

In addition to all-day live music and fireworks, the city said there will be a flag parade at 3:30 p.m., food trucks, kids craft and face painting, inflatables and photo booths.

City said guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the event.
