TRUSVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) - Hero Diner in Trussville is indefinitely closed to address maintenance issues, according to a spokesperson with the Pihakis Restaurant Group.
The ownership group is assessing all its store locations “and a couple of them have maintenance and other issues that may dictate whether we keep a location open or not.”
A sign is currently posted on the door of the Trussville Hero Doughnuts location indicating mechanical issues.
Pihakis Restaurant Group closed two restaurants on April 12, Tasty Town Greek Restaurant and Lounge in Birmingham, and the Hero Diner location in Hoover’s Stadium Trace Village.
A spokesperson told WBRC 6 News,

“Following our announcement of the permanent closure of Tasty Town Greek Restaurant and Lounge in Birmingham and Hero in Hoover, we want to provide an update as we continue to work through organizing our brands and locations to ensure sustainability. We have engaged consulting support and are focused on doing the hard, careful work required to build a path forward—one that honors our employees, our guests, and the excellent family of restaurants that make up Pihakis Restaurant Group.”

The spokesperson said some remaining restaurants may experience temporary pauses in service. “These pauses, if they occur, are a practical part of the process, not a cause for alarm, and we expect them to be brief. Our goal is to emerge from this period with stronger, more sustainable operations across our brands.”
She continued,
