BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Just over four months until the movie hits theaters, Sony and Marvel Studios released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day Wednesday.
The new trailer gives fans their first glimpse of Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) since the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which the webslinger’s identity was wiped from the memories of, well, everyone.
Brand New Day is the fourth standalone Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since making his MCU debut in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
The new trailer not only sees Parker dealing with facing isolation, trying to reconnect and find a place in the world with his former love interest, MJ (Zandaya), and best friend, Ned (Jacob Batalon), but also features the big screen MCU debut of The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal.
A big twist in the trailer is Parker meeting Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), who tells the young Avenger that his DNA is mutating.

While the trailer leaves fans with more questions than answers, the hype is certainly building for the next entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
