BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Keanu Reeves is returning as John Wick. This time, however, players get to control the violence.
During Friday’s Sony State of Play Showcase, Saber Interactive unveiled their next project, a currently untitled project based on the action film series starring Reeves.
Saber is collaborating with Lionsgate, as well as franchise director Chad Stahelski and Reeves, to bring the world of John Wick to life for gamers.
“John Wick is one of the most iconic characters in action film history,” said Matthew Karch, CEO at Saber Interactive. “Saber is honored to be working alongside Chad, Keanu and the Lionsgate team in a true collaboration to bring the world of Wick to life in a AAA game."
The new game will feature an original story set years before the Impossible Task in the John Wick timeline.

The developers behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are promising “a hard-hitting gun-fu combat system, jaw-dropping camerawork, intense driving experiences, cinematic storytelling, and a bold range of atmospherically immersive environments.”
“I can’t wait for fans to step into the shoes of John Wick and explore the multi-dimensional world of The High Table,” stated Jenefer Brown, President of Global Products & Experiences at Lionsgate. “We are collaborating closely with Saber’s dedicated team to develop a game that captures the unparalleled action, brand-defining fight choreography, immersive world-building, and authenticity of the films.”
Lionsgate announced at CinemaCon in 2025 that John Wick: Chapter 5 was officially in development at the studio, with Reeves and director Stahelski returning.
The franchise has generated over $1 billion worldwide.
No release window was given during Friday’s announcement, but fans can look forward tot he game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
