VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (WBRC) - I have a brown thumb, literally and figuratively, but even I can’t mess things up when I go to a new nursery called The Trellis.
The Trellis is a neighborhood garden center dedicated to providing high-quality plants, curated home and garden gifts and exceptional customer experiences.
The Trellis is focused on building a warm, community-driven retail environment where customers feel inspired and welcome. Its owner Marci Hollingsworth, operations lead Dr T.J. Douglas and all-around smiling ray of sunshine, Terri Moore, are just a few of the happy faces you will see when you go there.
Their building architecture is amazing. There were so many people watching as it was built to see exactly what it was going to be. Once it was finished, the community started coming in.
“We carry anything you need to get started if you are new. But if you are a veteran, we have just what the doctor ordered for your plants,” said Douglas.

When you come, you will be surrounded by nature. The Trellis has foam plants, dried flowers, wooden flowers and even plastic plants that look real. They have vases from local suppliers like a lady that goes by the name of Red Broccoli, large planters from Tuscany, Italy, and London, England, that have been making planters for hundreds of years.
“We are really excited about serving our customers in this area,” says Douglas.
