MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WBRC) - A popular and beloved Mexican-style restaurant announced it is closing its doors at the end of January after six years in Mountain Brook.
Sol Y Luna Tapas and Tequila opened their original Lakeview location in 1998 before closing in 2013 to find a new home. In 2020, the restaurant moved into its current Mountain Brook location on Lane Parke.
“Watching Birmingham’s restaurant scene grow and evolve over the last 27 years has been an incredible gift,” the restaurant posted on Facebook. “We’re deeply proud to have been part of the early days and to have helped shape the path for what came next.”
The restaurant’s last night will be Saturday, Jan. 31. “Come see us, share a toast, and help us close this chapter with love,” Sol Y Luna said.
