BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The X-Men are coming to the MCU.
For the third consecutive week, Marvel has dropped another teaser for the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday,” this time featuring the long-awaited return of the X-Men.
The trailer features the returns of Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier, Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto and James Marsden as Cyclops.
The trailer begins ominously enough, with Stewart’s voice declaring, “Death comes for us all,” as the camera pans a seemingly abandoned Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
Xavier and Magneto sit, as two old friends, playing chess before the trailer cuts to a shot of Marsden reprising his role as Cyclops in a more comic-accurate X-Men costume as Sentinels loom in the background.

Doomsday will mark the first time the X-Men will feature in an Avengers movie since Disney purchased 20th Century FOX in 2019.
Other X-Men actors confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday include Channing Tatum, Kelsey Grammar, Alan Cumming and Rebecca Romijn.
With three teasers released thus far and nearly a year until the movie releases, Marvel seems to be readying for a major marketing campaign.
Avengers: Doomsday releases in theaters Dec. 18, 2026.
