Veterans Day 2025 discounts, deals across Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Many restaurants, stores, attractions and other businesses are offering free admission, desserts, meals and more this Veterans Day.

Events

The Kelly Ingram Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 668 and American Legion Post 255, Fultondale are collaborating to host a Veterans Day celebration.

The community event will be held on Veterans Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1801 11th Avenue North in Birmingham. It is free and open to the public.

Organizers say the event will feature free food like BBQ pulled pork, chicken sandwiches, chili and baked beans. Music for veterans, families and friends will also be featured.

Birmingham Zoo

The Birmingham Zoo will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Veterans Day.

All veterans, active military and retired military, as well as up to five dependents will receive free admission to the zoo with proof of a valid military ID.

All other visitors will receive $5 off their admission.

Dine-in and drive-thru options

Another Broken Egg Cafe

Veterans, active-duty and retired military personnel that dine-in at Another Broken Egg Cafe on Tuesday, Nov. 11 can receive a complimentary Patriot French Toast topped with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream, as well as a Barista House Blend coffee.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s is honoring all veterans and active-duty military this Veterans Day with a free meal. It is only offered through dine-in, guests must show a valid military ID or proof of U.S. Military service and meals can only be ordered from a special menu with seven of Applebee’s most popular menu items.

Applebee’s is also hosting a “Buy a Vet a Beer” promotion where guests can purchase a pre-paid pint for a veteran, accompanied by a special message from the buyer. This promotion is running now through Nov. 11. Any beers that go unclaimed will have the funds donated to a local veterans’ charity.

Chicken Salad Chick

Chicken Salad Chick is offering all veteran and active military a free meal with one side and a drink on Veterans Day.

Chicken Salad Chick says the meal includes one scoop or sandwich, one side and a regular fountain drink.

You must show a valid military ID. The offer is valid in restaurant or drive-thru only, not with online or delivery orders.

Cracker Barrell

Cracker Barrell Old Country Store will be offering a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special to all veterans and active-duty military that dine in on Nov. 11.

Guests must show valid proof of military service.

Cracker Barrell’s also offering 25% off all Duke Cannon products and military-themed merchandise and apparel, available in-store and online.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steak Burgers

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steak Burgers is honoring veterans and active military personnel this Veterans Day. If they visit a Freddy’s on Veterans Day, they will receive a free Freddy’s Combo meal card, no purchase necessary.

Freddy’s website says that cards must be received on Veterans Day and are valid through Dec. 31, 2025.

Golden Corral

Golden Corral is marking the 25th anniversary of Military Appreciation Night. Since 2000, Golden Corral honors active and former military members.

2025’s Military Appreciation Night will be on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 4 p.m. to closing time. Military heroes will receive a “thank you” meal.

Any person who has served in the U.S. Military (retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard or Reserves) can receive a free “thank you” meal. The meal is not offered for take out and the free meal is only offered to those who serve.

Hooters

This Veterans Day, Hooters is saluting those who have served with a free menu item, when a drink is purchased.

Veterans can choose from 10 original wings, a cheeseburger, buffalo chicken sandwich or a chicken Caesar salad.

Military ID or proof of service is required, and the offer is only valid for dine-in orders.

Little Caesars

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., veterans and active military can enjoy a complimentary lunch combo from Little Caesars.

The lunch combo includes four slices of Little Caesars signature Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi beverage.

Veterans and active-duty military personnel will need to present proof of service, such as a military ID, DD-214 form, or veteran designation on their ID card.

Inspectors found employees at Little Caesar's on Monroe Street, along with many other eateries, not wearing gloves when preparing food.

Logan’s Roadhouse

This Veterans Day, active-duty military and veterans enjoy one free dine-in meal from Logan’s Roadhouse with proof of service.

Logan’s Roadhouse did clarify that a beverage is not included, and the offer cannot be combined with any other deals, including the 10% off Militar discount.

The offer will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Birmingham, located at 4 Perimeter Park S, is inviting veterans to enjoy a complimentary 32-ounce Dinner-Cut Pork Chop when accompanied by a guest purchasing one full-priced dinner entrée for dine-in service on Veteran’s Day. This deal will be available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

In addition, Perry’s will extend the availability of its 3-Course Military Menu on Veterans Day, offered from 4 PM to close for dine-in service. This special menu includes three courses with six choices for each course, featuring Perry’s Signature items—all for just $39.

Reservations are required. All U.S. active or former military with a military ID or official record showing U.S. military service and a reservation are eligible.

Perry’s says for veterans dining alone or with other veterans, you can receive half-off the original price.

These offers are not available for private group dining or take-out.

Scooter’s Coffee is offering a free medium drink to veterans on Veterans Day.

Guests ordering must have a valid military ID. There is a one order limit per customer, and the offer is not available for mobile orders.

Starbucks

Starbucks is offering free coffee to veterans, military service members and their family members.

Qualifying customers can receive one free tall, brewed coffee, iced or hot. Participating US Starbucks stores will honor the discount both on in store and drive through order with a limit of one coffee per customer per visit.
