BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Before Alabama A&M and Alabama State meet on the gridiron in Legion Field, the party gets started Saturday morning with the annual Magic City Classic Parade.
The parade begins at 8 a.m. at 18th Street North and 7th Avenue North.
The parade route will turn right onto 19th Street North and then left on 6th Avenue North. A right onto Richard Arrington Boulevard and finally onto 4th Avenue North leads the parade to its end at 16th Street North and 4th Avenue North.

In preparation of Saturday’s parade, the City of Birmingham will not allow any parking on the parade route after 11 p.m. Friday. Any vehicle found parked on on the route after the deadline will be towed.
Just a few hours later, the roads that are part of the parade route will be closed entirely.

Friday
- 11 p.m. - No parking allowed on streets that are part of the parade route.
Saturday
- 2 a.m. - Roads that are part of the parade route will be closed, including Park Place.
- 6-8 a.m. - Neighboring streets to the Magic City Classic Parade route will close.

If you plan to head out to the Magic City Classic Parade Saturday morning, you’ll likely want a jacket.

A disturbance will likely develop to our west, but we are not expecting any rain Saturday for the Magic City Classic. We will likely deal with a partly-to-mostly cloudy sky at the start of the parade. Temperatures will likely start out in the low-to-mid 50s By 9 a.m., temperatures will likely climb into the upper 50s with dry conditions.

If you can’t be in Birmingham for the parade, WBRC 6 News is the exclusive home to watch the parade on TV in central Alabama.
