BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Celebrate Independence Day with a bang as the skies light up across Alabama at these Fourth of July firework shows.
Thunder on the Mountain
Alabama’s most spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show returns to Red Mountain on Friday, July 4. Tickets can be purchased online here for the event at The Vulcan. Don’t have a ticket? The show will be live on WBRC 6 News with hosts Mike Dubberly and Janice Rogers. Another tip, if you can see The Vulcan, you can see the show! Park your car and turn your radio station to one of iHeartMedia’s Birmingham radio stations.
Independence Day at American Village
This year, American Village is celebrating America’s 249th Birthday with more than 50 patriotic activities, 20 historically inspired buildings and twilight fireworks. This event is packed full of heritage including encounters with patriots of the past like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Samuel Adams and replicas of the President’s Oval office and The East Room of The White. Plus, there will be hands-on activities, face painting, balloon art, 18 food trucks, and more. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with the fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. Kids admission is $5, general admission is $10, and veterans, active military and children 4 and under will all receive free admission.
Helena Old Town Live
Helena Old Town brings a free concert series to Helena Amphitheater full of live music, local vendors, beer and food trucks. Kick off the celebration Thursday, July 3 with Cracker’s iconic rock vibe followed by electric tunes from The Record Company. Bring your lawn chair and picnic blankets to set up for the event starting at 7 p.m. The epic firework show will take place at the end of the event which concludes at 9:15 p.m.
Birmingham Barons Independence Day Celebration
It doesn’t get much more American than baseball, hotdogs and fireworks. Head down to Regions Field on Thursday, July 3 for the Independence Day celebration. The game starts at 6 p.m. with the fireworks show concluding the game. Tickets to the game are required for entry.

City of Alabaster Fireworks Show
Start the celebration early on Wednesday, July 2 in Alabaster! The fireworks show will launch from Thompson High School at 9 p.m. and last roughly 13 minutes. Arrive early for food trucks, games, bounce houses and other activities for the whole family starting at 6 p.m. Viewing areas and traffic information can be found by clicking here.
Smith Lake Fireworks and Music Festival
Celebrate Independence Day all day long at Smith Lake Park. Cullman County Parks hosts a full day of fun-filled activities for the entire family starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 3. Live music will begin at noon with special guests Michael Warren, Daniel Bowden, Crooked Creek Band and Brooke Lee. Admission to the park is $5 per person or $20 per car. Please note only cash will be accepted at the park.
Fire on the Water
The City of Pelham hosts Fire on the Water at Oak Mountain State Park on Thursday, July 3, starting at 5 p.m. In addition to the show, Oak Mountain State Park will have vendors onsite and additional activities for the family. Ticket prices are per carload, so make sure you carpool!
Trussville Freedom Celebration
Celebrate in Trussville starting at 5 p.m. on the Fourth of July! Kicking off the event with food vendors, followed by DJ Platinum, Route 66 and fireworks! Great music and great fireworks are all free with admission, but vendor prices vary at the celebration.
Independence Day Fireworks Show Hosted by Gadsden-Etowah Patriots
Head to Riverwalk Park at Coosa Landing this Fourth of July at 9 p.m. for a fireworks show brought to you by Gadsden-Etowah Patriots. This year, fireworks will be launched from Broad Street Bridge, making Buffalo Wild Wings, the Coosa Landing Docks, Morgane Park, Highway 411 and the Etowah Chamber the best viewing spots.

Celebration on the River
Head to Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater for a Fourth of July celebration on the river! The free event, presented by the City of Tuscaloosa, will include live music by the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, activities for the kids, and of course, a firework show kicking off at 9 p.m.
