EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (WBRC) - Mattel’s line of wrestling action figures and toys isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
WWE and Mattel announced a multi-year extension to their global licensing deal Tuesday, extending a partnership that goes back to 2010.
Mattel’s line of WWE toys is sold in over 50 markets around the globe and includes action figures, playsets, roleplay items, and vehicles.
“Our longstanding partnership with WWE has resulted in some of the most celebrated action figures in the industry,” said Josh Silverman, Chief Franchise Officer at Mattel. “As we extend this agreement, we are committed to delivering authentic, high-quality products that capture the energy and larger-than-life personalities of WWE for fans across the globe.”
According to Mattel, their line of WWE action figures “have consistently ranked among the top 10″ action figure properties in the U.S., with their “WWE Main Event Series being the longest-running continuous action figure series in history.

“WWE’s relationship with Mattel has been a cornerstone of our consumer products strategy for 15 years,” said Alex Varga, Co-Head of Revenue at WWE. “Extending this collaboration will allow us to continue offering products that bring our WWE Superstars and their stories to life for our global fanbase.”
The extension comes as WWE is more popular than ever leading into WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas and on the heels of WWE’s flagship program, “Monday Night Raw,” premiering on Netflix.
Mattel produces an extensive list of WWE action figures, including the Main Event Series, Elite Series, and Ultimate Edition series, with exclusive releases to worldwide retailers Walmart and Target.
