TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - The city of Tuscaloosa is preparing for a big weekend at Snow Hinton Park for the 53rd Kentuck Festival of the Arts.

The two-day Kentuck Festival will be the first venue to set up in the newly renovated Snow Hinton Park in Tuscaloosa. The city officially cut the ribbon last week on the park.

Kentuck leaders say they’ll have around 300 artists, live music, spoken word, activities for children, folk and contemporary craft demonstrations, food trucks, and local craft brews.

“We do represent a lot of Alabama artists. They come from literally all over the country from New York, from Oregon so there is a lot of space out here and I think that’s going to let the art shine a little more. It’s going to give you a little more space around it and focus on what you’re looking at," said Kentuck Arts Festival Executive Director Exa Skinner.

Kentuck Festival of the Arts will be held Oct. 19 and 20.
